Is there a deposit?
On a real handoff we place a $200 demo hold on a card and release it after the cart comes home in the shape it left. This website does not take a card, a hold, or a payment. Demo price, demo form.
How does charging work?
Every cart leaves with a full charge and a cord for a normal outdoor outlet at the beach house. Plug it in overnight if you have it more than a day. Keep the cord off the sidewalk. We pick the cart up ready for the next porch.
What if it rains?
Park under the beach house and wait it out. If the weather is already set in when we would deliver, we text and slide the handoff. Riding through standing water is how a cart spends the afternoon in the shed instead of on your street.
Can kids ride?
Yes, in a seat, with a belt. The driver still has to be 16 or older with a license. Little ones don't stand, don't ride the back, and don't sit on a lap while the cart is moving. Bring your own car seat if you use one at home.
Can we drive on the beach?
No. The beach, the dunes, and the accesses are for walking. The cart stays on the street like a small car. That is a shop rule and the reason a waiver will not cover a trip onto the sand.
Do you deliver to James Island?
Yes, to beach houses, bungalows, and cottages on the Folly side of James Island. We trailer the cart both ways. That round trip is a $35 demo price. We don't run carts downtown or out to Isle of Palms.
