Carts, cords, and the walk-around before a cart leaves the shed.
The Pells
Ellis Pell keeps the carts running. Mara Pell keeps the phone and the bookings. Their daughter June runs the morning route: cart on the trailer, cooler if you asked, key tag in her hand.
They live on James Island, a few minutes up Folly Road, and they still hand over keys themselves. The lot started because guests in the beach houses around them kept asking where to find a street-legal cart without a drive into Charleston. The answer became a shed, four carts, and a phone that gets answered.
The fleet stays short on purpose. Two 4-seat carts and two lifted 6-seat carts. If yours is already out, Mara will say so. This is not a chain, and it is not a franchise.
